I am getting ready to intern for a dental assistant job and I am wondering if you prefer the dental assistant to talk to you or would you rather be left alone? I’m asking because I don’t know if it can be awkward to be in the same room without talking or not. If you do prefer them to talk to you, what type of questions should we ask?

For a healthy adult? My friend is at loss, his dentist told him he can either go for local or general anesthesia, it makes no difference to her, people do either way. My friend is asking me as if I know, but I have no personal experience beyond fillings. Money is apparently not an issue.

Is it against the code of conduct for the dental assistant to ask a patient on a date? My dentist has an assistant that has been getting close to me and having personal conversations when the dentist is away from the chair, would that go against any policies?

Here in Italy my dentist keep saying that amalgam is the best stuff to take care of teeth.I’d rather something different because its silver colour annoys me.

Also would it be a wise idea to go to school for dental hygienist then continue while working as a hygienist to go to school for dentistry? im just trying to choose the best path.

is there any medical reason to get the crown on a different appointment than the root canal or can they be done the same day during one appointment?
Don’t bother, I had both of them today (as dau after asking the quetsion) and in one appointment I got a root canal and a crown matching the color of my teeth. my dentist is great!! I finally found a good one.

Ok so i’m basically living on my own renting a room, going to school and working part time. And now i need to know if anyone knows where i can get health insurance? I can’t get medical cause i don’t have kids, so i don’t qualify. Is there something cheap i can pay for monthly? I’m also looking for a good insurance company.
