Hello, my mom has a failed root canal and the pain is killing her. She’s going to get it pulled, but can’t get an appointment for a few days. In the mean time, what are some good home remedies that we could try to help ease the pain?

It’s slightly sensitive to cold but I think this may be because it has an amalgam filling in it that is exposed. It’s mostly broken off on the side, next to my tongue. I don’t have insurance and want to know if anything will happen if I don’t get it fixed. Thanks.

I know that is one possibility but is it always the case?
One of my back teeth (molars are they?) needed a crown 2 years ago. It has been sensitive to all sorts of things ever since I had the crown done, but I never noticed that hot food or liquid bothered me until recently. Is it likely that means the tooth has died or started dying? Or are there other causes of heat sensitivity?
I can’t really afford any expensive dental work right now, so any shared experiences or knowledge are much appreciated.

I want to become an orthodontist but i need help in
making the right decisions and become successful.
I am thinking about entering Heald College. Is that a
good start or what are your opinions?
I just graduated from high school this year.
I know to become an orthodontist you must first be
a Dental Assistant and work your way up. Im fine with
that.
How long will it take to become an orthodontist?
Is Heald College a good start?
Heald College is a community college.

I was recently laid off and I can not afford to pay for continued health/dental insurance through my former employers cobra plan but my daughter desperately needs braces. If I apply for medi-cal and am approved does this cover braces or only general dentistry? Thanks for your help!

I had a lot of dental work performed and it came out to around 7000. I have one more visit so that they can put in my crowns. I applied for a loan through Chase and now i have to make 8.00/month payments. So I’m wondering if i get some kind of dental insurance will it cover some of the cost?

ok so far i’ve heard 2 sides of this……some people say that to become a dental assistant all you need is to apply for a job at the dentist office, and that they will train you there to do like x-rays and other stuff, and you don’t need to go to any training school or get any degree (pretty much like a part-time job)……..other people say that you have to go to school for 2 years or something like that and/or get a degree in dentistry well i dunno….anyways if its the easier way (the part-time job thing) then what do i do? do i just call up a dentist and ask him for a job or an application or something? k well thanks for any suggestions

Please do not say Sulaiman Habib. I used to love them until they made me lose a tooth which was supposed to be a simple crown to an implant because of an ignorant dentist.
