What is the hourly and yearly salary of a dental hygienist?
I live in Cartersville Ga and i heard that hygienist make 40 dollars an hour, but of course you dont have a job in one office. What is the salary hourly and is it easy to find 40 hours a week of work>? Also what is the usual yearly salary and average hours of work most can make if not 40?

From what I understand, dental hygienists are supposed to make a good hourly wage though typically work at a couple different offices and may not receive health benefits. Here is a website for general info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and search ‘dental hygienist’.
The website for the ADA: http://www.ada.org and search ‘your oral health’ and then ‘careers in dentistry’ for general info. One’s geographic location may pay more than another.
For US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ
Hygienst normally don’t work a 40 hour week, making $40+ an hour is standard, plus bonus monthly. I only work 3 days a week, and make a great living !
Most hygiensts work per diem. Meaning, they get a certain amount a day…many are independent contractors.
To get a ballpark daily wage, you can call a dental dental assistant/hygienist temporary agency and find out what they’re making a day
