By comfortable I mean, able to buy my children nice clothes, a decent used car when they turn 16, and live in a nice home with a pool, and good schools.

I’m asking because I’m trying to decide whether i should choose the route of being a dental hygienist [2-3 years], like my significant other, or if i should go all out and go to pharm school for 8 years.

Between the two of us as dental hygienist, we would be making 0,000 a year before taxes.
[Average salary is 62,000 a year according to salary.com]
However, if i was a retail pharmacist, we would be making 0,000 a year combined before taxes.
I know for a fact that i could do pharmacy school, as i watched my mother do it with 3 kids, and butt load of debt.

What do you think?
I live in Oklahoma, which isn’t an expensive area compared to NY, or Cali.
So i think that 0,000 a year would definitely be enough to raise 2 children.
But a lot of that would be lost to taxes.
Is the extra 40k a year is worth the extra 6-5 years of schooling?
Should i just suck it up, and go to pharm school to try to provide the best i can for my future kids?

No nasty comments needed please, i’m just trying to figure out my life’s path.
Opinions and thoughts are appreciated.
He is still in school, so i don’t know if he will be making 60k just out of school.
I’m just going by what salary.com says is the average salary per year for Oklahoma.

I submitted my resume Saturday and was called Monday. The receptionist said to come Tuesday at 12:30 and be prepared to stay at least 2 hours. She also said I would be working with "ashley" another dental assistant. This is for an entry-level position so I don’t know if I should wear scrubs or something nice?

i bought a crest spinbrush pro toothbrush and it comes with the charger.

do i just put the toothbrush on the charging base? it doesnt seem to be doing anything.. it acts just like a base to put it when youre not using it..?

is it charging and i just cant tell?

i have a cavity and its getting bigger and i think the tooth is about to break. I’ve had this for about 7 months and i’ve been afriad to go back and get it filled eversince my first filling! i get food stuck in there so i use a toothpick and get it out but i hit a root or something because it hurt like a bitch! everything i eat and the food touches that part of my tooth i cringe in pain! im afraid of what to do. what happens if i dont get my tooth filled? its starting to turn darkish and the hole is getting bigger….

Just curious. I live in the Netherlands and when someone here wants to become, for instance, an electrician or a dentist’s assistant or some other profession that does not require college but does require some topic-focused education, they go to an MBO (professional education school). But when in tv series from the US, people just either go to college or start working immediately after high school. Are that truly the only two options in the US and if no, what are the other options?

Ok, so I went to the dentist and he said I have 3 cavities. (one was growing and someone put sealer over it, one is on one of my molars that is growing in crooked so I can’t even reach it to brush it, and one is growing under my gum)

My question is: Once your dentist has told you that you have a cavity, is there any way you can make it go away?
ie: some super awesome brushing?!?!?
My dentist hasn’t filled any of them yet, so I just wanted to know…. can you get rid of them??
