I really would not worry about the tooth being pulled. I know the word pulled sounds painful, but please do not worry. If you have a great dentist you shouldn’t feel a thing…and afterwards you may have to bite on gauze for awhile but returning to work should not be a problem. (but it does work for a great excuse for a day of shopping!)
the actual tooth pulling is not painful, the shot to numb your mouth is a little uncomfortable
it won’t hurt really. i got 4 adult teeth pulled in one day and the numbing stuff wore off on the last tooth. now that hurt!
I had 4 extractions(permanant teeth) and it didn’t hurt as much as I expected. They first numb it which hurts just a tiny bit, then they slowly pull it out. It doesn’t hurt when they pull it out because it’s numbed. It will bleed a little for you(it bled a LOT for me) but you will be able to go back to work on the same day.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth out, Its not that bad,
no pain at all except for the shot of local anesthetic.
Yes, the shot can hurt, but I’d rather have that then feel the extraction.
If it is a baby tooth, there really isn’t much of a root–it shouldn’t be a major deal. (The pain of an extraction comes from them having to pull the root out of your jaw–sounds terrible, but that is what is done!)
doesnt really hurt. It may feel a little bit sore afterwards but not while you get it done. They numb your gum, so you cant feel it.
Hey there girl. you won’t feel any pain if your dentist correctly administers the numbing meds. It is when the numbing meds ware off is when you be uncomfortable for the remainder of that day but if you take Tylenol or Ibuprofen that will help.I had a tooth pulled two days ago.
I have the best dentist in the world, I get laughing gas when I have my teeth cleaned. That’s usually an extra $50 you pay out of pocket, but well worth it. For me, I wouldn’t PLAN on going back to work. Heck, take the rest of the day off and let your husband take care of the kids and everything else. If it’s not bothering you, don’t tell him. All moms need a day off once in a while. Best wishes.
By the way, leave the mask at home, they’ll make you remove it once you’re at the dentist’s and I’d hate for someone to steal it.
When I was about 13 years old, I had 6 baby teeth pulled out at the same time…like others are saying, the worst part is the novacaine (and even that is not bad)…I was completely fine and had NO pain whatsoever that day or the following days…please don’t be worried…
if it makes you feel any better, just take the day off work and do something fun with your afternoon instead of going back to work…
The only thing is that you can feel the holes where your tooth/teeth used to be, which is strange…and just be careful and eat soft foods for the next few days: soup, bananas, sandwiches, etc…
