My dentist said he can’t actually treat me for TMJ until all other dental work is complete. I have 2 root canal, 2 fillings that are getting replaced due to me clenching my teeth, and 1 filling to add. THEN I can get treated :/ which sucks because I have no pain but the popping is very nerve wrecking ..

It would be for the tooth behind the upper canine. There would be no need for it to sustain pressure.

Hey everyone! Ok, so so next week, I’m going to my orthodontist to get my tooth bonded. Last time I went he said that I’m going to "get my right cuspid bonded." What does that mean? I still have my braces on. I’m 11. Thanks!
Can ya’ll answer these question?
What should I expect?
Will it hurt?
What exactly is tooth bonding?
What is my cuspid?
Thanks!

I had my wisdom tooth extracted on Monday morning. No stitches. It is Wednesday and the gums around the extraction site is still swollen and tender. How long does it take for swelling to go down and for gums to heal? Is this normal?

I need cosmetic, reconstructive dental work done on my teeth but I live in the US (New York) and it is horribly out of this world expensive, plus I don’t think the dentists are that good as I’ve been to a few supposedly good ones and didn’t have great experiences.
So I am thinking of taking 2-3 weeks off work to travel to another country for vacation/dental work. Where is the best place to go? What is the process? Do I contact some sort of agency in the US or do I just go to the specified country on my own and do my own planning, etc from scratch?
What is the best way?
Any input very much appreciated!

Thank you for answering me with information about crowns earlier. I lost a lot of teeth structure on my front. Lots of enamel are lost. But I checked out the internet about crowns and it seems the picture for those people who use crowns have more teeth than what I’ve.
Maybe I’m wrong. Is there like percentage of tooth and crown together in order for it to be strong?
Is there any other option? I heard from a friend that porcelain veneer is not strong if u don’t have much teeth.. I guess porcelain crown is the same since they use the same material?
I schedule an appointment next week but I want to get some info so I know what to expect from dentist or see if he’s rite. What do u think I can do?
Thanks.

Okay,so when I was ten or eleven I knocked one of my two front permanent teeth out. Nobody was able to find the tooth for about a week and when they found the tooth it was too late to be able to put it back in.
So now I only have one front tooth and It has messed up the lining of the rest of my teeth a little bit. I have gone to the regular dentist numerous times since then and they have cleaned my teeth and fixed whatever else was wrong with them.
I want to completely fix the rest of my front teeth but they said that I would have to go to a cosmetic dentist to be able to fix It.
My insurance will not pay for cosmetic dentistry and my family cannot afford to pay for it for me.
I wanted to know about how much it could run for something like this to be done, and is there any good ways I could go about raising the money for the procedure.
Please help me out,I am extremely self conscious about it.

Had a wisdom tooth taken out 6 weeks ago and there is still a hole in my gums. My dentist told me that it will eventually fill in with gums and bone, but it’s been 6 weeks! Is it possible to have a permanent hole in your gums after an extraction? or… am I just being impatient?
