So I have a Dental Assistant interview on Wednesday and i’m really nervous about what to expect. I have no formal training nor do I have a certificate BUT I was thinking about going back to school for it because I am interested in the field. I guess they are interested in interviewing with me since they called me and I have no background. I do have ambulance experience b.c I was a volunteer. Someone told me I should research everything like certifications and what not so that if they ask if I’m willing to get what I need, I’ll know what it is and am more than willing to go for it.

What exactly do you think they’ll ask me though during the interview, I’m so nervous about that!

i got a call from a dental clinic for a group interview on monday for a dental assistant position…..I hate group interviews!!!!!! what should I do so I can stand out or be ahead of the pack? I only have a little over 6 months experience…..she said some girls just got out of training and some have experience

which one gets paid more? which job is harder? major differences? i cant find any ortho asst. training programs, is dental asst. training enough for a career in ortho assisting?

I wanted to get a Dental Assistant Certification at my local Community College. The only problem is, is that they want you to be employed as a Dental Assistant in order to get into the program. I don’t understand why this is?
I don’t know how to go about getting employers to hire me and tell them I’m willing to enroll in community college for certification. Any ideas? I also have 3 months experience BUT lost my job last week on the basis that I was training and it wasn’t working out b.c I worked at a fast paced office. I was told I was better off to go elsewhere such as a smaller office to start out in. I understand it is pretty overwhelming when your starting out in a big office so I don’t know what to do?

am goin so soon to the basic training of USAF, but one thing keeps me worry which is that the deployment in iraq,afghanistan ,,,,etc,
am not worry of anythin if I would be alone but my wife she is not from USA and she has no one over here to stay with and support her at least mentally so I dont want to leave her alone,,so my question is, my job in the AF is goin to be Dental assistant,, so how likely is the AF guys be deployed according to my job ? any help out there plz,, coz I still have 4 days for my shipment day,, so am still in the reversible state

am a current Dental Assistant graduate. I haven’t found a job yet. I was just wondering if there are any dentist that will allow me to volunteer and learn Front office also..I would love to learn eagles software or dentrix so that I can be crossed trained in front and back office..Or will someone be willing to just show me how to do this?? Is it hard to learn???

I just recently lost my job this past week and I feel horrible because I still don’t understand why. I was a Dental Assistant and I was in training. I did not get fired, I was let go. They basically explained to me that it just wasn’t working out. The only problem is, I had my 3 month evaluation before this all happened and they told me I was doing fine…even my Dentist I assisted said I improved and I was doing well. It was a pretty busy office and it was big – probably not the best place to work when your first starting out but I believed everyday that I was doing well. They told me I would be better off in a smaller office, but I don’t know where to look for that. Seems like job ads only have big offices advertising. It makes me feel discouraged that I’ll never be able to do this job. I just don’t understand why they made me believe I was doing well the whole time and then they decide last minute to let me go. I got unemployment and they checked off lack of work, i don’t know if it was so I would get money out of it but it just doesn’t make any sense. Anyone have any thoughts?

ok so i want to be a dental hygienist…but i hear you have to take a really long exam for that…what happens if you fail the exam twice…can u take it again???
ad what if a cuple years later ur not into dentistry anymore, can u go into another career?if so wat career? becuz u only go to 2 years of college and then a 2 year training program to be a hygienist.
what other careers options are there for u them??
