I want to work as a dental assistant while I’m in school to be a dental hygienist but would like how much they make in Dallas…
I was just wondering how much does a dental hygienist make fresh out of school? I know it varies by error but generally speaking what do they make, what are the hours like? would this career still be in great demand in the next 4-5 yrs?
Well i am looking at going to school to be a dental hygienist, but i am curious what kind of financial aid i should apply for? is it the same as if i were going to school for something else, or are there different scholarships, grants, and funds that i should look into? any help would be so great. ![]()

I am taking my prereqs to become a dnetal hygienist right now. I didnt know if i should become a dental assistant first, and then becoming a hygienist? Do you think it would give me an advantage to getting accepted to a hygienie school? Would this path help me out at all? Thanks
I am considering going to school to be a dental hygienist. I went to college for general studies for 2 years and now I have to pick my major. Do I go to a tech school, community college, or 4 year university. How long does the degree take? How flexible is the job, since I want to start a family in the next five years? What are the pros and cons of this profession, please be honest? Any other information about the career would be helpful! I greatly appreciate it!
Both of the programs at my school have the same prereq’s except I wouldn’t have to take chemistry and organic chemistry to become a nurse. In your opinion, which career do you think is better? I’d love to be a nurse but I don’t think I can deal with working late into the night. Or I could but not 5 nights a week. How are nursing schedules compared to dental hygiene schedules?? Thanks!
OKay I am either wanting to become a Dental Hygienist or a Radiology Technologist.
My question is should i become a dental assistant or radiology tech first?
and should i leave my community college and go to some tech school first, then go back to college to become the hygienist or technologist while working as the assistant?
