What classes can I take in high school To go college and be a dental hygientist?
I wanna go to school to be a dental hygienist. Can you tell me your story? Like how long did you go to school for, and what are the requirements? Like right out of high school? How long did it take you to work as one? Please tell me all details. Thanx!
I really would like to become a Dental Hygienist but i do not know if i would be able to since Dental Hygiene is a health profession. Is there any time during school or when the state liscense you that requires you to be a legal resident? I know i might not be able to get a job after i get my degree but i would at least try to get my education and my liscense to be a Dental Hygienist. My dream is to become a Dentist but Dental Hygiene seems like a good start. If not i might have to do something else.
Please, i know i’m illegal but help me out if you know anything.
I live in Dallas Texas aiming towards Collin County School of Dental Hygiene or Baylor School of Dentistry.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. i am not indocumented but my visa expired if that helps in any way. Hoping i could become legal in the future or if the DREAM Act gets approved. I know most Americans hate Illegals but i’ve live here since i was 11 and really do not know much of my native country but if i have to go back one day i would at least like to have a degree in the field that i want, Thanks.

I want to go to school to be a dental hygienist but my teeth aren’t in great condition due to health issues when I was little and lack of money to get any major work done. Would it be too weird to major in this with my teeth like this? I eventually hope to be able to get them fixed obviously…hence trying to go to school and have a decent career but I’m scared people will look at me funny…..
Im just curious, both are career options im very interested in, which is the better career when you consider everything?
so I was wondering what you guys think… Im really stuck on what I want to be when im older. A dental hygienist or a family doctor. I wanted to know the ups and downs of both, which pays better, and ***what courses id need to take to get there***
im only in high school.
help please ![]()
O.k, so I am really thinking about beginning school for Dental Hygiene. Basically I have three goals and I want to know if you think that dental hygiene is the right decision. I want to make about 50-60 grand a year while working part time, so I can spend time with my daughter and husband and be there for her for school and everything. I want to be able to have enough time and money to travel and actually enjoy life. Seems like 40 hours a week isn’t the anser. I also want a job that I like. I am a people person. Anyone a dental hygienist who can talk me into or out of this???
I am graduating with a degree in psychology next year, but need to move forward. I would love to be a school counselor..and that was my plan. However, we might be moving next year to be closer to family and the only thing I can go to school for there is social work which I don’t want to do. So, I’m thinking dental hygiene.
What is the everyday life like? How many hours? Can you work part time? How is the pay? What are the benefits?
