I want to do some research on it and my dentist office is closed. I have to have my jaw broken and wired shut for it to be put where it is suppose to be before the ortho will put braces on me. What is this called? Or where do I start to look? Anyone else heard or had this same experience?

The last few times I have flown I have suffered from a pretty serious pain in my jaw. This only happens on the descend for landing and it lasts for a little while even after I get off the plane. I am flying again next week and I’m wondering if there’s any way to prevent the pain? It’s really bad, so please, any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have tried gum, It doesn’t seem to do much.

How can I burn that fat cheeks to make my jaw bones appear and bigger?Im not fat just average but everytime I smile,i look fat because of my cheeks that looks fat and if im positioning in a side-view mode,the edges of my jaws cannot be seen.Please help me and tell me what I can do.Thanks.

I’m 18 and I notice a significant difference between my right and left jaw. My right jaw is slim but my left jaw is big and bulky. It wasn’t like this about 5 years ago. Both my parents and both my siblings have symmetrical jaws.
Maybe it’s because I grind my teeth and I have minor TMJ? Also, I never had braces before although I don’t have malocclusions and such.

I need to mold my model’s bottom teeth and I have access to dental impression trays but I’m not sure how to apply the alginate to the jaw without it dripping out of the tray before it reaches its destination. I can’t seem to find and instructional video for this step of the process either. Any help would be appreciated!

My orthodontist thinks I have TMJ (a joint dysfunction in your jaw) & my jaw constantly locks all the time. I have a part in the school play where I have to sing in the upper octave so I need to create more space in my mouth. My dentist has offered an option of jaw surgery to correct a problem with my lower jaw being too small. How long does this generally take to heal, and do people generally get their jaw wired after this?

I’ve had this problem for a few years now, and I’ve had braces before. I can pop my jaw when I open my mouth really wide. If I leave it open too long like at the dentist, it’ll be hard to close it and it hurts. I hate this. Some of my friends that have/had braces have the same problem. Thanks!
