I’m a 20 year old college student in Florida. I’m pregnant and I have medicaid… The baby also has Medicaid, but I might need to add her onto my dental insurance later?
I’m looking for dental insurance because I haven’t seen a dentist in like 4 years, although I had no cavities then and have never had cavities before, but I now have little black spot in a couple of my teeth that are probably cavities.
No pain though.
I also want braces (orthopedics) but I’m sure I’ll have to pay misty out of pocket for this. But I’d the insurance will cover part of the cost that would be great!
Help???
The website "insurancehealthquotes.info" did not work…
That website is about jobs. No serious answers? This is ridiculous. I want info about a REAL dental plan. I guess y!a was not he place to go.

I’m getting some cavities filled in the morning and I’m worried about anaesthetics. I can’t get novocaine because the one and only time I received it, my throat swelled up and my heart rate skyrocketed. My grandpa gets the gas, but how does that work? Are there any other alternatives? I’m a little iffy about going in with no painkiller.

My doctor discovered two small cavities about a month and a half to two months ago, and I was wondering how long it would take before they required a painful root canal.

I’ve had a toothache in two of my teeth on my lower jaw for the past couple days. I just went to the dentist a little over week ago and I didn’t have any cavities. I have been sick with a cold for the past week though and I heard that sometimes you can get a bacterial infection in your teeth from being sick?

Basically I’m just wondering what kind of stuff is the best to use as a "filling" when you have some cavities removed from your teeth. They used to claim that mercury was "safe", but it has clearly been shown to be dangerous, and cadmium, nickel, and beryllium are also dangerous. But the marketting gig of some of the "holistic" dentists is that THESE materials that THEY use are BETTER than the mercury and all that stuff, they are "biocompatible", and they are supposedly "safe". I’m wondering if this could be another routine where these new materials are deemed "safe", then are later discovered to be incredibly poisonous… My dentist used in "Gluma", "Optibond", and "Starflow-A1" on a couple of my teeth. Can someone please tell me more about this stuff?

I don’t have dental insurance and just got my teeth cleaned for the first time in 16 years. No cavities and I smoke but there wasn’t as much tar as I thought there’d be maybe because I brush almost violently. But now like 2 weeks later I’m having some acheing in a tooth and it hurts up into my cheekbone when I chew on that side. I did some searches on google and found a couple things saying teeth cleaning causes cavities. Does anyone know if this is true? I hope I didn’t make a mistake having it done….
If it were an abscess caused by bacteria being stirred up would I lose the tooth?
