How much Is cosmetic dental surgery?

Okay,so when I was ten or eleven I knocked one of my two front permanent teeth out. Nobody was able to find the tooth for about a week and when they found the tooth it was too late to be able to put it back in.
So now I only have one front tooth and It has messed up the lining of the rest of my teeth a little bit. I have gone to the regular dentist numerous times since then and they have cleaned my teeth and fixed whatever else was wrong with them.
I want to completely fix the rest of my front teeth but they said that I would have to go to a cosmetic dentist to be able to fix It.
My insurance will not pay for cosmetic dentistry and my family cannot afford to pay for it for me.
I wanted to know about how much it could run for something like this to be done, and is there any good ways I could go about raising the money for the procedure.
Please help me out,I am extremely self conscious about it.

I got a chipped tooth fixed and now the tooth is bigger?

I chipped my upper front tooth so the dentist had to glue something on it then he grinded the excess and the tooth itself looks really good but its slightly bigger than the other upper front tooth and people may or may not notice it but i do. Do I have to go back to get it grinded? Why didnt the dentist notice when he was doing it?

How to care for my bonded tooth?

In December 2006, in a sports accident I had my front tooth broken in half horizontally.- next day it was thankfully bonded back on. – you can obviously see the difference through the colour I was wondering how I should care for the tooth. When I look closely now I can see the line where The crack goes across. (-dont know if that was visible before, like if the bonding covered it or not since I didnt really check). I’ve had a custom mouthguard made for me for sports which I use during every sport now. I dont bite into ANYTHING with my front teeth (no sandwhiches, etc) I only eat foods I can cut and places directly past the tooth. I have been using a powered crest spinbrush toothbrush with an extra soft head and Colgate Total and Crest Pro-Health. How should i be caring for and maybe help the tooth heal itself? I’ve really been considering this and am probably getting it tomorrow… Colgate Luminous toothpaste. It is supposed to contain minerals to help restore tooth enamal! Opinions?
I think its "bonded," I dont knew exactly what they did but they re-attached the broken part of the tooth to the top part of the tooth which was still intact (dint know the name for what they did, but I heard something about bonding and they also mentioned they dont know how long it will hold, maybe forever maybe a very short time… confusing!!). Also, the texture is somewhat different on the portion of the re-attached tooth.
kind of going along with the first answer
… I actually found the piece that was broken off and they used THAT piece of the tooth and put that back on, not a composite, its the actual piece! I can tell because it has a certain small spot where its a bit discolored from before. And when I went in after that to take my impression for my mouthguard, the assistant that did the impression told me it could be like a broken bone and may take up to 6 months to heal. The dentist said that since Im still young and have good blood flow through my teeth it could heal or something. (When the piece was broken off, and was found and taken back home for the night, I kept it in milk to not dry it out or anything and they were actually able to use that piece even though the assistant almost laughed at us when we said we saved the tooth and said they cant do anything with it when we came in, but she ended up helping the dentist use that piece, I bet she felt dumb)

I cracked my front teeth very close to my gums. I still have to go to a specialist, but my general dentist told me that veneers and caps for my teeth would be useless due to the positioning of the crack. none of my tooth fell off however there are two small fractures horizontal of my front tooth. Has anyone else had the same experience…if so please tell me what you have done, and what you recommend…

This morning I managed to chip a little bit of my front tooth. I’m not sure if I’m still registered at my dentist or not since I haven’t been in a while. I was thinking about phoning and asking but it typically takes 2-3 to get an appointment usually (for a check up).

I’ll be back at University in 2 weeks in a different city. I I just leave it till then and find a new dentist once I get there? or is it something that needs looking at urgently?

I clench my teeth at night. Apparently so hard that I caused irreparable damage to my front tooth (possibly teeth). My dentist tells me I don’t need a crown because it’s a front tooth. But, I’ve also heard that removing the root from a tooth makes it very brittle and can easily break/crumble. This is my front tooth; I’m extremely nervous about doing this correctly. I’m going to lose my dental insurance in a few months and want to do this the right way the first time. I had my first appointment for my root canal today. I’m going back in a couple weeks for them to fill it. The dentist has recommended that I wear a night guard to prevent any more clenching/grinding. I will wear it faithfully, but am still nervous about losing my front teeth. What should I do?
