I need your help guys. I had two mercury fillings in two of my bottom teeth put in as a child (around the ages of 6 or 7). Now I have had these in for a little over 20 years now, and my mental health seems to be getting worse over the years. My memory is bad & have struggled with depression for many years now. Im 19 and i have 1 filling in a tooth and its silver metal kind of colour so im sure its a amalgam i would like to have it removed because it can cause much Mercury to leach into our body and second could i remove it myself? i know sometimes people have there fillings fall out so if i hit it in the right spot with a knife can it just pop out? I have 1 baby tooth left with an amalgam filling in it. When the tooth falls out, will it expose me to Mercury fumes? I’m really scared.

My mother is almost 53 and has been diagnosed with alzheimers she was diagnosed about 3 years ago and in the last year or two she is getting worse and worse. She has had all of her mercury fillings removed and is on natural homeopathic remedies to try and help as mercury poisoning has the exact same side affects as alzhiemers at the moment we are not too sure if it is helping or not.

Is there anyone else out there in the same situation with a mother that is rather young with alzheimers its really hard to deal with seeing your mother like that, I have two small young children and its tough not having your mother to help you and and be a proper grandma.

It is my back tooth ,I had a Mercury feeling in it and now it cracked alot ,it is loose i had another part of the tooth come out last night..Now wil l the pull if I have a comon cold with upper respiratory infection????and is it dangerous to have this cracked tooth

Basically I’m just wondering what kind of stuff is the best to use as a "filling" when you have some cavities removed from your teeth. They used to claim that mercury was "safe", but it has clearly been shown to be dangerous, and cadmium, nickel, and beryllium are also dangerous. But the marketting gig of some of the "holistic" dentists is that THESE materials that THEY use are BETTER than the mercury and all that stuff, they are "biocompatible", and they are supposedly "safe". I’m wondering if this could be another routine where these new materials are deemed "safe", then are later discovered to be incredibly poisonous… My dentist used in "Gluma", "Optibond", and "Starflow-A1" on a couple of my teeth. Can someone please tell me more about this stuff?

I had a molar with a lot of amalgam filling drilled out and reconstructed with composite, and then there were little chunks appearing in my food, I spat it out and recovered the chunks.

Will I get higher mercury exposure if I swallow that stuff, and if so, for how long? Like, would it get stuck in my gut?

I have 12 amalgam fillings.I think i got my first one at about age 7 and last one at about age 10. Im 22 years old now, and i am worried about mercury poisoning since i have alot of these fillings, and they arent just small fills, most of them are whole tooth fills.
I have problems with depression and uncontrollable crying until my face goes numb and starts to tingle. sometimes i cant stop even if i want to. My skin is peeling like as if i had a sunburn from my chest to my hips, i have memory loss often times i forget completely what im talking about after only a few seconds after i stop talking. i can forget whole conversations and people start to look familiar like ive talked to them but i cant remember what i talked about or if it was good or bad. sometimes i have to ask myself if i had just said hi to someone or i repeat questions i had just asked less then 2 minutes before. i have eye lid twitches that last 5-10 minutes. when i read money, i read it right in my head but jumble the amount around when i say it. ei: 45.83= 83.45, 145.83, 48.53. these are just a few things i saw in common with the symptoms of mercury poisoning. not sure if they match or if i have anything other that sounds alike.

I also hate how when i put any metal silverware in my mouth it feels weird on my teeth so i avoid touching them together. when i hear people touch spoon to tooth, it makes my teeth hurt xD.

What is your opinion, should they be removed? or left in. whats your view on amalgam fillings? do you have excessive amounts of amalgam fillings too/whats your story with them, like do they both you at all?

Amalgam Filling (silver and mercury) and 14k Gold (gold and copper) are in the solid state. How would you separate them so you get all metals and retain all material?
