Well, I still have my braces on and will get them off next January or February. My mom told me after I get them off she will get my teeth whitened in the dentist. My teeth are a bit sensitive too by the way. Also, when their whitening your teeth what do they exactly do? How long does it normally take? Thanks!

Alright, well, one of my lateral incisors (I looked at a tooth chart because I have no idea what tooth is named what, so hopefully this is the right one… should be the one right next to my front two teeth), the one on the left side is somewhat pushed back from the rest of my smile. This makes it appear smaller in photos and the two front teeth cast a shadow over it in photos too which gives it a discolored appearance!
Now I know I should just get over it, but I’ve always wanted a nice smile and I’ve felt that this one tooth is ruining my smile. It’s otherwise straight. I’ve never had braces or cosmetic dentistry done. I asked my mom about it and she said I should get over it because it’s just a tooth, but I really does douse my confidence sometimes.
I looked it up and a single porcelain veneer costs upward of 0! I don’t even know if a veneer could fix the problem anyway..
Well my main question (after all my bickering, lol) is could I perhaps remove a tooth from the back to create more space and help this tooth not be so cramped in my mouth? My dentist says I have a pretty small jaw, and I’m wondering if the best way to fix this problem is to have a tooth pulled so my teeth may space themselves out a bit. My wisdom teeth are starting to come in too, but not on that row.
So here lemme restate the questions…
1) Can tooth removal create more space in my smile and
2) How long will it take for my teeth on that side to space
Not even sure if teeth actually do that… it’s just what I’ve heard…
And if you have any suggestions that are frugal and pocket friendly, please voice them!

I used to be covered under medicaid, however I became ineligible when I turned 19 even though I am a full time student (either I misread the new law or the rep didn’t understand a word I was saying.) And by law I am required to have health insurance, so I am currently enrolled in my school’s health insurance. However, it mainly gives discount for prescription drugs. So I was wondering if there were any orthodontic or dental insurance that covers orthodontic for adults (I’m 20) where I or my parents don’t have to pay too much. I have a pretty big open bite, I think my bottom teeth keep getting more crooked, and I think I have a cavity or two because I can actually see a crater on the outer surface of one of a tooth.
I may ask my mom how much her insurance is through her work because when she had it a couple years back, she said it was really expensive
I have a dentist appointment today for a 6 month check up and I just got my septum done yesterday, and to hide it from my mom, I just simply flip it up. I don’t want the dentist, or my mom finding out about it. Would the nose ring flipped up in my nose cause a problem with an x-ray when they x-ray my teeth? The nose ring is titanium, if that matters.
ok so i really really want braces and i plan on getting them sometime this summer before school starts. my mom was also telling me how we have a really good insurance and she gets some kind of a discount by her workin in the district. so how much does braces cost with insurance?

I chipped my tooth from biting my retainers at night. the damage is very minimal and barely noticeable. but I am a perfectionist, and it bothers me that i have a crack in my tooth. my mom told me the dentist will smooth my tooth to make it look nice again, but i dont like this idea. i have very small teeth already and i feel that smoothing my teeth will make my teeth look smaller. any other suggestion?
so i just finished the 2 hour rembrandt teeth whitening kit…. and BAM my mom walks in with triple chocolate ice cream and raspberry sauce… will eating that have any effect of my new white teeth?
My mom had surgery last week on her ankle and recently has begun to have bleeding gums. She says it’s quite frequent and obviously annoying. Her medications are Oxycontin, oxycodone and promethazine. Does anyone know if these could cause bleeding of the gums? Are they blood thinners? Any tips would be helpful. She’s going to call the doctor tomorrow, but she would like to know if it’s due to medication.
in new york city i wonder if there are. cuz my mom needs to get rid of bad teeth. and need to replace it. she has half medicaid
I need to find them the best insurance possible. Blue cross and Keiser don’t take new patients who are over 55 and my parents medical insurance through the state was stopped for dental and vision on June of this year. We bought mom a discount plan ( liberty dental) for her dental problems and costed us fortune. So some thing reasonable and still best insurance for them.
